Allesley Park is basically a leafy, open public park that’s located near Coventry, West Midlands. It’s the name of an open public recreational centre adjacent to the Park, which is about 2.5 miles north of Coventry town center, and just east of the A 45 road. It was opened in 1993 and has a lot of recreational activities that will delight kids and adults. The first thing that you should know is that the main attractions of Allens Park are: the reservoir, the Lea Hall Park, and the Atherstone Heritage Centre. The reservoir is located next to the Allens Park, so you can walk there by yourself or with your kids! This is a very beautiful and impressive park. It features many different types of water spots for your enjoyment, as well as being the site of a number of events. You can enjoy a stroll through the trees, go on a walking trail, or even take a lovely boat tour around the reservoir. You’ll find that the amount of foliage here is massive!
Lea Hall Park is another attraction located at Allens Park. It’s actually part of a larger complex that includes the Atherstone Heritage Center, Allens Water Park, and the Coventry Playhouse. It’s located right next to Allens Park and is ideal for families, as it offers activities for both young and old. There are numerous things to do at the Lea Hall Park, including baseball and softball leagues, hiking, riding, picnic, walking, and biking. There’s even a mini-concert every Sunday at the pavilion during the summer!
If you are looking for some entertainment while you’re in Allesley, you can’t go wrong with stopping in at the Atherstone Shopping Center. This huge mall features over 400 stores, which are divided into different areas such as apparel, toys, foods, books, and so much more! If you have a family with small children, this is definitely the place to go!
Another great place to go is the Coventry Playhouse. This venue is located right beside Allens Park, allowing you to take your children (and their friends) to this indoor playground. You can spend hours just trying to figure out what to do here, as there are so many fun things to do! They have an indoor pool, video game shop, miniature golf, a paintball field, a mini-carnival, and even a concession stand!
