GAB Handyman Service Area Abbey Fields

Abbey Fields is one of London’s best kept secrets. It is nestled between Holborn and Euston Road, but very few people know of its existence. Founded in 1876, it was one of the first ever shopping centres in London. The name is an acronym: ACGI, and it stands for the Abbey Shopping House and its adjuncts such as Sotheby’s, Debenhams and Bloomsbury.

Abbey Fields Kenilworth

Finding Abbey Fields is very simple, just look for the name on the sign, or rather, the address if you are not sure of which the name is. On the ground floor of the building there is a white tiled staircase, leading up to the second floor, which is the actual building’s main entrance, and a pavement that lead up to the top floor. If you are walking up the steps, then there is a wooden handrail passing down the steps leading up to the pavement. Otherwise, if you prefer to cycle away, there are cycle racks available at the bottom of the staircase leading up to the second floor of the abbey fields.

The facilities that are available at Abbey Field are vast. You can have your lunch either sitting on the pavement by the pond or eating in one of the three restaurants that are there – Fishstix, KFC and McDonalds. If you have enough money, you can even treat yourself to one of the luxurious dining experiences available at the Kenilworth Castle which has stunning views of the London skyline. If you get tired of eating outside, you can have dinner inside the Kenilworth castle – which is open to the public on certain days throughout the year. So you can actually experience the beauty of Kenilworth, while enjoying the luxury and comfort of a 5 star hotel.

If you don’t want to stay in a hotel when visiting Kenilworth, you can always try one of the local restaurants or bed and breakfasts. The village itself is surrounded by a variety of shops selling locally produced food, as well as a selection of cafes, restaurants and nightspots. You will be able to find a bed and breakfast in Kenilworth that suits your budget and taste perfectly, as well as a range of hotels including the popular Abbeyfield Hotel and Kenilworth Castle which offer something different to the tourists.
